Where does Easter come from?

Easter may be associated with chocolate eggs and hunting them in the garden, but its origins lie in ancient religious and pagan traditions. In the Christian tradition, Easter celebrates the resurrection of Christ. But long before that, ancient peoples were already celebrating the arrival of spring and the renewal of nature with symbols such as the egg, the rabbit and flowers.

This gave rise to many customs, such as decorated eggs and chocolate bunnies, which today delight children all over the world.
